Long-Lasting Post-Op Pain Relief

Dr. Hovis uses Exparel injections on most of his shoulder surgery patients. This is a nonopioid analgesic used to help manage post-op pain. Many patients experience prolonged pain relief – for up to 72 hours after surgery – with just a single-dose administered at the surgical site. This medicine lasts up to six times longer than the conventional nerve blocks that have been used for many decades.
